The Robalo 2100-2109 Bayhunter comes in two versions. It's the pair that started the trend toward multi-use, sport utility design. The 2100 was originally targeted for the booming flats fishing in Florida and the Southern Gulf states, but has found many homes in the Northeast and Midwest markets due to its multiple personalities. Designed for Bay and Backwater fishing, the 2100 has found many new friends among the flyfishing fraternity. "It'll run in a heavy dew!" said a notable Florida guide, which may be a slight exaggeration, but the 2109 truly does allow access to "skinny water" previously unnavigable in other boats. The tapered convex tunnel allows the engine to be raised as much as 6", yet still provides a quick-planing hull, without sacrificing the depth in the cockpit, or the solid ride normally found only in deep-vee hulls.
