BOLOGNA, Italy - Ducati's 2013 Multistrada range will get a second generation Testastretta 11° engine and ABS, while the S versions will get the new Ducati Skyhook Suspension setup, a "semi-active" suspension design. (Click on images for full-size versions.)
Headlining the lineup is the Multistrada 1200 S Grandturismo, which offers all the Multi's high-tech features along with increased side luggage capacity, a top case, additional LED lighting, enhanced wind protection and long-distance tires.
The enhanced Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak edition comes as a replica of the 2012 mountain roadrace-winning bike.
The whole lineup — including the Multistrada 1200 and the Multistrada 1200 S Touring — come equipped with the standard bell-and-whistles. These include ride-by-wire, Ducati traction control and ABS. The later gets the aforementioned new suspension and extra capactity saddlebags, heated grip and a center stand.
Ducati will hold its Multistrada 1200 international press test Sept. 20-27 in Bilbao, Spain, with the first public unveiling of the range at the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, German in October.
The new models will be available across Ducati's dealer network starting in December.
